About Tallow House
Tallow House sits on a cleared slope below the forest at Mount Macedon. The owners wanted a home that stays warm through a Macedon winter and opens to the lawn in summer.
A low living pavilion faces north over the lawn, joined by a glazed link to a two storey sleeping wing. Black stained boards and a steep dark roof meet the site’s bushfire requirements.
