About Saddle House
Saddle House replaces a 1970s mud brick house on the saddle of a Panton Hill ridge. The old house turned its back on the valley; the new one keeps the footprint and opens a full glass wall to the view.
Its board formed concrete ceilings were poured in three sections, each left to cure before the next was formed. The oak joinery went in once the concrete had dried out, so the timber stays true.
